Using advanced endoscopes with high definition magnification and narrow band imaging, diagnosis and treatment of colonic disorders has taken great strides.

Regular screening and removal of colon polyps has made colonoscopy the single most effective cancer prevention tool in all of medicine.

The examination takes place with gentle sedation, and can be completed in less than 30 minutes in most cases. Newer methods of preparation have eliminated the difficult and distasteful previously used high volume purgatives.
